Amplify - the 91ɬÂþ Alumni Newsletter
Dear Panthers,
Dear Panthers,
I hope you had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend and are ready to participate in the fall traditions that will soon bring our campus and alumni community together.
This fall, we celebrate a milestone that has me reflecting on the power of recognition. The 40 Under 40 Awards turns five this year, and as we prepare to celebrate this momentous anniversary, I am reminded of what can happen when a community takes the time to recognize the people who are making a difference.
That said, it is with extreme pleasure that we announce the 2026 cohort of 40 Under 40 Awards honorees who continue the legacy. Please click to view the announcement video and see the outstanding young alumni who impress and inspire.
From the beginning, 40 Under 40 was created to acknowledge young alumni who are shaping culture, leading in their communities, excelling in their fields, and paving the way for what comes next. Five years later, we have honored 200 Panthers whose accomplishments are as diverse and dynamic as the individuals themselves. Yet, despite their different paths, professions, and personal stories, they share something important: each has chosen to be an agent of change while maintaining a meaningful connection to the university that nurtured them and helped shape their vision and purpose.
I am especially grateful for the university partners and alumni who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life. The Office of Alumni Relations and Engagement team has been fortunate to build on that foundation, and we are grateful for the many partnerships, contributions, and gifts that have helped 40 Under 40 grow into one of the most anticipated events among our alumni each year.
In this issue, you'll learn more about two members of our inaugural class, Arlillian Kate Bushelon and Taj Tashombe, who continue to make us proud and give us hope for the future. You'll also find a video that captures some of the history of 40 Under 40 and, we hope, builds your excitement for this year's celebration. Visiting the venue where the inaugural event was held was a special experience for me. It brought back wonderful memories of where this program began and offered a powerful reminder of how far we have come in just five years.
Recognition matters. It tells people that their work is seen, their contributions matter, and their example is making a difference. For our young alumni, I hope 40 Under 40 serves not only as a celebration of what they have accomplished, but also as encouragement to continue leading, creating, serving, and making their mark on the world.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you on Thursday, October 15, at Flourish. If you haven't purchased your ticket, please do so using the link in the Calendar of Events below. If you have questions or need additional information, please email us at alumni@cau.edu or call us at 404.880.8022.
With Panther pride and gratitude,
